Empowered travelers do not play the victim.
No way. No how. Not us.
We learn. We grow. And we know it’s not always perfect. But we do not play the victim.
Victim means merely making something BIGGER than us. That’s all it is.
It’s where we play the game that we don’t know what to do, and something has taken our power away.
If I say, “oh my goodness I am so overwhelmed. I want to crawl back into my bed!”
Oh man. Did I just decide to make my to-do list bigger than ME? No thank you! I got this.
“I made you, to-do list, you do not get that power over me!”
Instead, I say. “Whew. I have been ambitious with my goals lately.
It is time to sit down and re-prioritize and take back control of my time. I got this.”
Empowered Travelers LOVE to take accountability and learn and grow.
Nothing is so big we can’t learn and become better from it.
The question of the week to ponder.
Where are you playing the victim this week?
What feels really big and out of your control?
Where are you blaming?
Is it your recruiter, your boss, your shyness?
Lack of money? Time? Fear?
Is the market being slow? Relationships?
What are you allowing to hold you back?
The more specific you are, the more you will know how to move forward.
We all have something that feels SO big.
We, as the empowered tribe, are just unique because we don’t mind. We don’t waste time complaining about it. We think about what it is, we say hello to it, and take action!
This week- think about what that thing is for you.
If you are feeling BOLD – share with the rest of us!
And then say to this thing that feels so big: “Alright you. I’m going to take a beat and figure out my next step and then the next one. You do not get to bring me down!”
