Brewster is a small, friendly riverside town at the confluence of the Columbia and Okanogan Rivers—great for boating, fishing, orchards and local wineries, with a compact downtown and easy access to wide open desert and mountain trails that keep multi‑week stays outdoorsy and interesting rather than boring.
For occasional bigger‑city options, Wenatchee (about 65 miles — larger shopping, dining and an airport) and Omak (about 30–35 miles — the county’s largest small city with more services) are both within roughly 75 miles, so weekend escapes and extra amenities are an easy drive.
